The inner city of Johannesburg has fast become a trendy and innovated area, full of potential and new ideas.
Coffee clutch hipsters from Parkhurst, Greenside and surrounds are migrating to places such as Arts on Main and The Neighbourgoods Market on their weekends.

Big name brands such as Puma and The Branson Centre are also taking note of the urban regeneration projects in the area, and have opened up their flagships in the city. This shows a shift in perceptions about Joburg, and those in the know are seeing it’s potential – beautifully illustrated by regenerated areas such as the Maboneng Precinct in Newtown.

The Caxton Joburg North vision is to create a newspaper and website that links the pockets of excellence that are being created around the city of Joburg. It will follow the example set by city-based publications covering areas such as New York LA and Chicago.
