Eyethu KwaZulu-Natal is the largest circulating black owned newspaper brand in the province, having started with the launch of Edendale Eyethu five years ago(2008), the brand now publishes combined 301 400 copies in 11 titles weekly.
We have a presence in all strategic parts of the province and through this have become the recognised platform for local communities in all parts of KZN where Eyethu has a presence.
Eyethu KZN was officially launched on 27 September 2011 in uMlazi, south of Durban where then KZN Premier Dr. Zweli Mkhize delivered a message of support.
The brand was born out of a realization that while community newspapers were growing everywhere, isiZulu speaking communities had been neglected despite constituting the biggest audience in the province. This was proven true as the brand’s popularity among readers ensures that Eyethu is one of sought-after reads.
Eyethu strength lies in the ability to write community linked news, celebrate local heroes and documenting usual struggles of our respective communities.
